Due to a very generous gift from an anonymous donor, we are so excited to say that our building is now paid off! This was something that has been prayed about and was presented at our Gala in February as a major next step for our center. We are so thankful for the generosity of this person and the blessings of the Lord!
So far, this has allowed us to increase our staffing, along with increase our advertising to reach abortion-minded women who are searching online for abortion access. This will be a gamechanger for our center! Please be in prayer for those that we serve, for our Board as we walk through a Board training this Fall, and for our staff as we navigate the increase in demand for services as well walk through training for our new and old members! The Lord is doing great things at the PTRC, and we are doing what we can to be thoroughly trained and prepared for what He brings us!

Kelly shares her powerful testimony at statehouse hearings, national summits, pregnancy centers, and media outlets like Fox News and The 700 Club. A devoted wife and mother of six, she lives in Virginia and passionately testifies to the beauty God can bring from the ashes of one’s past. The 2027 Celebrating the Gift of Life Gala will be on Friday, March 12th at the Jasper Civic Center.
We cannot say THANK YOU enough for those who came, served, and gave at the Celebrating the Gift of Life Gala in February. Rebekah shared a phenomenal story that I think we can all relate to, whether it is personally, with our friends or with family...unplanned pregnancy and abortion affects all of us and our community. So far, we have raised close to $56,000! GOD IS GOOD!
I also want to say a special thank you to Cole Hyche and Jase Fowler for working to make our sound happen. We had some technical difficulties we think were from the storm the night before, so we were unable to show the video we had planned! They made sound and visuals happen for us otherwise--even if Cole had to sit in the floor behind the screen on the stage to progress our slides all night! They did what they needed to do to make it happen. THANK YOU!

-PREGNANCY TESTING & ULTRASOUND-
In December, we were sad for Ashley, our Nurse Manager, to leave us and began praying about who the Lord would send to fill her shoes. We are so glad to have Kim Parris join our staff in June! Kim is a member of Meek Baptist Church and has been a sonographer for 35 years. Kim comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and will serve as an RDMS at the center. Soon we will be back on track with offering ultrasound services to our clients!
-NOW WHAT, BABY BOOT CAMP, AND CLOTHES CLOSET PROGRAMS-
From our online hybrid education program (Now What), to our one-day program (Baby Boot Camp), our education programs have been busy in all aspects. We have been able to increase staffing for these programs to meet the need, and we are excited to have our Spanish interpreter, Susie, here all day on Tuesdays to help with these visits, along with clothes closet and testing visits.
We also want to say a loving farewell to Cindy, our "Clothes Closet Captain" for almost 15 years! Cindy and her husband Charles are moving, and we are SO sad she will no longer be serving with us! She has worked in many capacities over the years, from faciliating classes, organizing baby items, making our baby baskets, serving at the Gala, and even filling in as a helper on the mobile unit! She has done it all, and we are so thankful for her. We will miss you, Cindy!
Our clothes closet service has also been very busy, and we are currently in need of a few new or gently used items! If you can help, items can be shipped to PTRC, 600 20th Avenue E., Jasper, AL 35501. You can also drop off items during office hours, which are Monday-Tuesday 9:00-4:00, and Wednesday 8:00-2:00, and Thursday 9:00-5:00.
-MOMCO-
Our second year of MomCo just wrapped up! With around 30 overall in attendance, it was a great year! This group met on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays for food, fellowship, and friendship, and all of that was accomplished and more! Meet-ups and play dates will continue to happen throughout the summer, and we are looking forward to starting our third year this Fall. This group has served as a great bridge for us to connect ladies to local churches!
Thank you to Covenant Church of the Nazarene for allowing us to use space for the meet-ups, to our childcare volunteers who helped make these meet-ups happen for a majority of our moms, and to the ladies from a variety of churches across the area who lead this group with love and passion for these moms and their babies!
-BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT-
Every Wednesday, Cathy Bruce (RN, IBCLC) from Baptist Health Jasper joins us from 10:00-1:00 to offer FREE breastfeeding support to local moms who need help! This is a service open to anyone who wants to come...moms do not have to deliver here in Jasper to attend. Walk-ins are welcome. Thank you to Baptist Health Jasper for allowing Cathy to join us for this!
This Spring has been super busy with new moms learning to breastfeed or needing help with obstacles they are facing. It is invaluable for us to offer breastfeeding education to our moms along with a connection to Cathy for education and support before birth. Once they deliver at the hospital they will also see Cathy, and then can continue to visit her here at the support group for further guidance! We are proud to announce to we are now able to offer breastfeeding pillows to some of our moms that attend through a grant from the Kiwanis Club of Jasper!
From volunteers sorting baby items, youth putting together goodies for the moms and dads that we serve, volunteers counting and rolling change for the Baby Bottle Boomerang, to even someone donating a dryer for our clothes closet, y'all have definitely been the hands and feet of Jesus at the PTRC this year! THANK YOU to those that have served in any capacity!
